Legacy of Lethbridge Women

CHF 9.00
Sold Out

By The Centennial Committee for Recognition of Women, Georgia Green Fooks, Patricia Hagen, & Mary Oordt

Meet the women who built Lethbridge.

The Legacy of Lethbridge Women shares the stories of women who all came to Lethbridge as wives, as daughters, and as single women to tread the dirt streets and breathe the coal dust from the mines. They were pioneers who helped lay the foundations of this city and pave the way for their future contemporaries. In the community of Legacy Ridge, located in North Lethbridge, each street is named after one of these trailblazing women to ensure that their legacies will be acknowledged for generations to come. The women in this collection of stories show us how hard work and dedication can create change within any community, no matter the century.
